To help celebrate the New Year I've uploaded a couple of bits of music, the first is a recording of my gig at the Rose of England on the 25th July last year, the second is a recent experiment with slowly evolving deep space drones called Zeta Reticuli.

Live Rose of England 25/07/06

Zeta Reticuli 1

Enjoy (or not)

Well, what can I say? I thought I was just in for50 odd minutes of sounds and whizzing noises but how wrong I was! Fantastic mix Mod. I can definitely hear so many influences in this track especially Tangerine Dream... and perhaps some Brian Eno too. But this has your unique sound so it's heard (and perhaps wrong) to compare with other groups and artists. "Rose" is awesome and people would be daft to miss out on this little gem.

Zeta Reticuli scared the shit outta me lol. Very dark... very. Great drone though with really powerful undertones that sweep in and out perfectly. Great production. A typical all round drone track that does exactly what it should do. Great stuff! Again, people would be crazy not to add this gem to their collection. It's a perfect drone smile.gif

Thanks for listening and for the kind comment smile.gif

My live stuff is definitely influenced by the spirit of '70s TD, especially the whole live improv and step sequencer thing.

I've only recently started getting into ambient stuff and any influences in that area are more from forums like this than any major artists.

Zeta Reticuli was really just an experiment with huge amounts of time stretch that came out far better than expected. I'm currently working on a slightly more varied mark 2 version, as I found the first version a tad too monotonous wink.gif

I will upload that too when it's finished.

I'm working on a cover too, here's a sneak preview:
